With production of the ford Mustang only getting underway in March 1964 , this example built in April 1965 is a very early fastback. Most of its life has been spent in the country of its birth ,where it was restored to GT specification with GT lights ,rear Valance exhaust. it was imported from California to the UK in 2016 .The engine was upgraded to a rebuilt 302ci (4942cc) V8 with further additions of a limited slip differential, new autowire wiring harness, disc brakes and power steering. The Burgundy metallic color is the original shade albeit a repaint. A rare set of Shelby aluminum road wheels are on this car Inside the interior is in as original condition albeit with a period looking digital stereo, new carpets and dash pad. The gearbox was rebuilt at the end of 2021 The Fastback is by far the rarest of the first generation mustang's . the first model was introduced in September 1964.
